Booking & Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed once the required booking fee/deposit has been received.

Verbal or provisional bookings are not considered confirmed.

By making payment, the client confirms that they have read and accepted these Terms & Conditions.

Booking Fee / Deposit

A non-refundable booking fee of 50% is required to secure the date.

The booking fee is deducted from the final package price.

Your date and time are only reserved once payment has been received.

Balance & Final Payment

Balance will be paid after selection of media.

Media will contain a watermark, it will be removed after the final payment.

Late Payments & Late Fees

Payments received after the agreed due date may be subject to a late fee of R300

Continued non-payment may result in cancellation of the booking.

Cancellation by Client

Cancellations must be communicated as soon as possible.

The booking fee remains non-refundable because it covers the photographer reserving the date and declining other bookings.

If a cancellation occurs close to the shoot date, additional cancellation charges may apply.

Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests must be made at least 3 days before the shoot.

Rescheduling is subject to the photographer's availability.

For MDs and graduations, rescheduling may be particularly limited during peak season.

Late Arrival

Clients are expected to arrive at the agreed location and time.

Arriving late may reduce the available shooting time.

The photographer is not obligated to extend the session because of client lateness.

Additional Shooting Time

Additional shooting time may be available at an hourly rate of R500.

Additional time is subject to the photographer's availability.

Client Preparation & Responsibilities

Clients are responsible for arriving prepared, dressed appropriately and ready to shoot.

Clients should ensure that hair, makeup, outfits and accessories are ready before the scheduled start time.

The photographer is not responsible for delays caused by the client's preparation.

Locations & Travel

Any location fees, entrance fees, parking fees or permits required for the shoot may be charged to the client.

Travel outside Pretoria may require an additional travel fee.

Weather & Outdoor Sessions

For outdoor shoots, weather conditions may require the session to be rescheduled.

The photographer will make the final decision where weather conditions create an unreasonable risk to equipment or people.

Rescheduling due to unsuitable weather will be handled according to the rescheduling policy.

Editing

All photographs are professionally edited according to the photographer's editing style.

Image Selection

Where a package includes a specific number of edited photographs, only the selected/included images will be professionally edited and delivered.

Unedited/RAW files are not included.

Turnaround Time

Final photographs will be delivered within1 business week maximum after the shoot.

Turnaround times may be extended during peak periods such as graduation and MD season.

Rush editing may be available at an additional fee.

Image Delivery

Final images will be delivered digitally via online gallery/download link.

Clients are responsible for downloading and safely storing their images once delivered.

The photographer cannot guarantee permanent storage of galleries after 2 months.

Copyright & Ownership

Copyright of all photographs remains with the photographer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Purchasing a photography package does not automatically transfer copyright to the client.

Clients may use delivered images for personal/social-media purposes but may not sell, license or commercially exploit the images without written permission.

Portfolio & Social Media Usage

Unless the client requests otherwise in writing, the photographer may use selected photographs from the session for their portfolio, website, social media, advertising and other promotional purposes.

For clients who prefer their photographs to remain private, a "no portfolio/social media use" request can be made before the shoot.

Graduation & MD Group Photos

For group photographs, the photographer will make reasonable efforts to photograph all requested individuals.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that members of their group are present and ready when required.

The photographer cannot be held responsible for individuals who arrive late, leave early or refuse to participate.

Equipment & Technical Issues

The photographer takes reasonable precautions to protect equipment and images.

In the unlikely event of equipment failure, data corruption or other technical problems, the photographer will make reasonable efforts to recover or recreate the affected photographs where possible.

Photographer Illness or Emergency

If the photographer is unable to attend due to serious illness, emergency or circumstances beyond their control, reasonable efforts will be made to provide a replacement photographer or reschedule the session.

If neither option is possible, payments made may be refunded as appropriate.

Client Conduct

The photographer reserves the right to end a session if a client or guest behaves abusively, threateningly, dangerously or inappropriately.

No refund will be provided where a session is terminated because of unacceptable client behaviour.

Children & Minors

A parent or legal guardian must provide consent for photography involving minors.

The parent/guardian remains responsible for the child's safety and supervision during the session.

Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings, clothing, jewellery, phones and other valuables during the shoot.

The photographer is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged personal property.

Image Quality & Artistic Style

Clients acknowledge that they have reviewed the photographer's portfolio and understand the photographer's visual and editing style.

The photographer will make reasonable efforts to meet the agreed brief but cannot guarantee that every image will look identical to examples from previous shoots.

Complaints & Revisions

Any concerns regarding the delivered photographs should be communicated within 7 days of delivery.

Minor editing corrections may be considered where appropriate.

Requests for a completely different editing style or extensive re-editing may incur additional fees.

Force Majeure

The photographer will not be liable for failure or delay caused by circumstances beyond reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government restrictions, venue closures, accidents or other unforeseen emergencies.

Liability

The photographer will take reasonable care throughout the booking and shoot.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the photographer's liability is limited to the amount actually paid by the client for the affected service.

Agreement

By paying the booking fee/deposit, the client confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
